How to Identify Your Grade
Tungsten button scrap covers solid carbide drill bits and mining/rock-drill buttons with no steel content — the highest recoverable-tungsten category. Carbide inserts are coated cutting tips (CNMG, WNMG, DNMG and similar) with lower recoverable WC% due to steel content and coatings. Carbide rod scrap covers round blanks, end mills and tooling stock, usually clean and high-grade. Mixed scrap and sludge are unsorted or fine material priced after inspection.
